Raising Funds for V-Excel Educational Trust -- Take 3

Fundraiser ends February 29, 2020

I am a theoretical physicist by profession and running has been my hobby for more than a decade. For the past three years, as a part of my run at the Chennai Marathon, I have been raising funds for V-Excel Educational Trust who work with differently abled children/young adults and help them live a life as close to normal as possible. As someone who grew up with someone who is differently abled, this cause is close to my heart.

This year, I ran the Half Marathon at the Chennai Marathon (in 1:58:39) on January 5, 2020 and ran 25K at the Yercaud Ultra (in 2:29:52) on February 16, 2020. I don't have any running targets for these two races as I am focusing on improving my running for the next several months before picking a target. For the third year in a row, I wish to raise money for V-Excel Educational Trust. My target, as always, is to get at least 100 people to contribute to the cause without worrying about the precise amount donated.

Last year's funds were used to buy a water filter plant which has the capacity to purify 1000 litres per hour and our ground water level has 2400 units of salt. This purifier helps us to reduce upto 550 units salt level in the water. Also we have laid new pipeline for the metro water connection, to increase the water flow. — V-Excel

The funds that I raise gives V-Excel flexibility in how they choose to use it. In particular, they can do things that are not funded via their projects.
